We are thrilled to welcome you to Atlanta, GA for the Annual IPAC Conference July 27-30, 2025.

To ensure you have a wonderful time - at the conference and exploring the city - we have put together the essential information you need to plan your trip. Whether you decide to stay close to the conference hotel or to explore as much of the city as possible, there is something for everyone!

TRAVEL INFO

Arriving By Air: The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the primary airport serving the city. From the airport, you can reach the conference venue and hotel through various transportation options, including taxis, ride-sharing services, and the MARTA.

Traveling Around Town

MARTA – Public Transit: MARTA is Atlanta’s rapid transit rail system. It carries passengers from the airport up to Buckhead and beyond, and east and west through Atlanta’s neighborhoods. Learn more about MARTA.

Atlanta Streetcar: Running about every 10 to 15 minutes, the Atlanta Streetcar operates on a 2.7 mile loop from the convention and entertainment district to the Sweet Auburn area. Learn more about the Streetcar.

Walking and Biking: Atlanta is a great city to stretch your legs a bit. Take a stroll through our walkable in-town neighborhoods or go for a bike ride on the Atlanta Beltline. Whether on two feet or two wheels, Atlanta has plenty of green space to feed your love of the outdoors. Learn more about walking and biking.

Highlights:

1. Perimeter Mall: The Perimeter Mall is a shopping mall in Perimeter Center, Dunwoody, Georgia, directly across from the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter Hotel at the interchange of Interstate 285 and Georgia State Route 400. It is the second-largest shopping mall in Georgia.

2. Dunwoody Nature Center: A non-profit organization providing environmental education and outreach programs, visitors can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the park or sign up for special classes and events. The park is open daily from sunrise to sundown, free of charge. Explore wetlands, a teepee, hiking trails, and the woodland playground all before visiting the hammock garden to relax before you leave. Dunwoody Park is part of the Dunwoody Parks & Recreation green space and is open and free to the public.

3. Truist Park: Home of the Atlanta Braves, Truist Park is part of The Battery Atlanta - a mixed-use development that features restaurants, shops, and entertainment options, creating a lively atmosphere on game days and beyond. Truist Park Tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at the stadium, allowing visitors to explore areas typically off-limits to the public. Tours include visits to the Braves' dugout, press box, and luxury suites, as well as the Braves Hall of Fame and Museum. Tours are available on both game days and non-game days, with tickets purchasable in advance online or at the park.

4. The Fox Theatre: The historic Fox Theatre is one of Atlanta’s premier venues for live entertainment. With 4,665 seats, the Fox Theatre hosts more than 150 performances a year, including Broadway shows, concerts, comedy, and films.

5. Georgia Aquarium: The Georgia Aquarium is a public aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia. The aquarium exhibits hundreds of species and thousands of animals across its seven major galleries, all of which reside in more than 11 million US gallons of water. Ticket prices are $64.99 for daily general admission or $44.99 for plan-ahead advance purchase.

6. World of Coca-Cola: World of Coca‑Cola allows you to explore the fascinating story of Coca‑Cola – the world’s best-known beverage brand. Tickets are $19 Adults (13 to 64), $18 Seniors (65 or older), $17 Youth (3 to 12), Free Toddlers (0 to 2).

7. Atlanta Botanical Garden: A 30-acre botanical garden and shady woodlands located adjacent to Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia whose plant collections including roses, herbs, conifers, carnivorous plants, and more. Special features include the Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory, home to rare and endangered tropical and desert plants, and the Children's Garden, a unique, hands-on garden with a health and wellness theme. The Fuqua Orchid Center includes a High Elevation Orchid House and a Tropical Orchid House, both beautiful throughout the year.

8. Zoo Atlanta: Zoo Atlanta is an Association of Zoos and Aquariums accredited zoo in Atlanta, Georgia. Notable animals include Yang Yang (Giant panda), Xi Lan (Giant panda), Mei Lan (Giant panda), Lun Lun (Giant panda), Ivan (Gorilla), and Willie B. (Gorilla). In January 2025, Zoo Atlanta welcomed Titan, a 16-year-old adult male African elephant.
