Welcome to San Diego!

The IPAC Conference Planning Committee is excited to welcome you to San Diego, California. Our host city is known for its myriad of beaches, beautiful mountains, and world-class food. With attractions like the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, the Gaslamp Quarter, and Little Italy, San Diego has something to offer for everyone!

Balboa Park

Located just a mile and a half from our hotel, Balboa Park consists of 1200 acres of lush landscaping and 17 museums. Take a brief tour of the history of the Earth at the San Diego Natural History Museum, see memorabilia from your favorite movies at the Comic-Con Museum, or view world-class art at one of three art museums – all in the same day!

More information can be found at https://www.balboapark.org

Gaslamp Quarter

Our hotel is located in the Gaslamp Quarter of downtown San Diego. The Gaslamp is the heart of culture and nightlife in San Diego. With over 100 restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, conference attendees will have no shortage of options for any type of food they may be craving. The Gaslamp also offers dozens of options for entertainment and shopping.

Little Italy

Little Italy, another hub of food and culture in San Diego, is located less than a mile away from the hotel. This neighborhood features almost 100 restaurants, including some of the finest dining options in San Diego, and over 60 shops. Restaurants offer distinct experiences, including rooftop and outside dining.

Beaches

San Diego has 70 miles of coastline along the Pacific Ocean. This coastline contains more than 15 beaches, including Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach, Coronado Beach, Sunset Cliffs, and La Jolla Beach – all of which are located within 10 miles of the hotel. Each beach contains its own unique feel. Mission Beach is family-oriented while Pacific Beach has a more festive feel. Ocean Beach is part of a community that values its uniqueness and adherence to beach life while Coronado Beach is located at the end of one of the wealthiest communities in the city. Sunset Beach and La Jolla Beach offer stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding communities.
