Employment Analyst - City of Dayton, Ohio

The purpose of this position is to recruit and screen applicants for employment in classified positions with the City of Dayton and Dayton Public Schools. The incumbent will develop, administer, score and validate the selection processes and should have a working knowledge of test development, test validation and statistical analysis. The recruitment and selection process will be in accordance with the City of Dayton Charter, labor contracts, Civil Service Rules and Regulations, as well as State of Ohio and Federal laws.

Minimum Qualifications:  Must meet one of the following requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business or finance equivalency or human resources administration, behavioral/social science, education, liberal arts, or a related field AND two (2) years of experience in human resources, employee relations, education, job classification, or employment interviewing;

OR

Associate’s degree in business or finance equivalency or human resources administration, behavioral/social science, education, liberal arts, or a related field AND five (5) years of experience in human resources, employee relations, education, job classification, or employment interviewing.

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or one of the above listed areas may be substituted for one year of the above required experience.
