Description: Join us for an interactive workshop on the basics of GenAI. We will explore the fundamental concepts, recent research, and cutting-edge developments in this inescapable technology while getting our hands dirty with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and GoogleLM. By the end of this workshop, you will have a working knowledge of what GenAI is (and isn't), ethical considerations, technical limitations, how to get started, and where the field is headed. While we will explore many examples of Generative AI mainly through the lens of assessments, this workshop will benefit professionals from all disciplines and at all levels of experience with the technology.
Bio: Jared Weintraub holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in I/O Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Hofstra University, respectively. He is a People Analytics Manager at Deloitte, earning several certifications from the Deloitte GenAI Academy and publishing on GenAI. Jared is an Adjunct Professor at New York University, and President Emeritus of METRO, the New York Metropolitan Association of Applied Psychology. His research explores the practical applications of generative AI, workplace nudges, mindfulness, and Flow Theory to help organizations and professionals flourish.
